Cables

Every USB-C cable looks the same from the outside, but they differ in two ways: how much power they’re rated to carry (60W or 240W) and how fast they move data (from USB 2’s 480Mb/s up to Thunderbolt 5). A charge-only cable is fine for charging an iPhone but no good for an external SSD or display. See USB-C cables explained.
